I now have a zillion options and am in a quandry as to what to do. Just registered another blog with blogger.com. Google gives a free sub-domain name but no individual post privacy. Different things with different blogs. Which one to stick with??
And then there’s the whole paid or free hosting issue.
If I had a billion dollars, I’ll just go with paid hosting. It’s customizable and great to experiment with. But I don’t, so the practical question: Why pay to host a personal site few will ever come across?
It’s all my brother’s fault! His fault for wanting to register a domain and getting me curious about:
- Domains & Hosting,
- Google Apps & Gadgets,
- WordPress & Blogger customizations,
- Flickr, Flickr PictoBrowser, Flickr Badges, Lightbox 2 & Simple Viewer photo gallery scripts,
- Free Opensource templates & a bit of CSS,
- Drupal set-up & customization,
- Favicons & Buttons,
- Emailme and Wufoo Forms…
I’ve suffered so! Haha. And I’m off to play some more.
